Comment Spam

Yesterday I disabled comments, because the comment spam was driving me nuts. I've now re-enabled them, but I've added a programming question that hopefully should be easy to answer for anyone wishing to comment, but too hard for the spammers to be worthwhile to figure out.

If you want to comment but don't know the answer to the question, feel free to e-mail me.

Sorry, for the inconvenience. :-(

You should mention whether parentheses are required or not (I guess I'll find out when I try to submit this :) )

I noticed a small quirk with your japitools results - your 1x1.gif is white rather than transparent which means that you get white stripes in the bar graphs and any 1px-wide bars don't show up in their real color at all (this actually had been bothering me for days - I was trying to figure out what on earth was wrong with the generated HTML, until I realized that nothing was). You can grab the 1x1.gif from http://www.kaffe.org/~stuart/japi/htmlout/1x1.gif if you want.

I apologize for the lameness of this, but the comment spam was driving me nuts. In order to be able to post a comment, you need to answer a simple question. Hopefully this question is easy enough not to annoy serious commenters, but hard enough to keep the spammers away.

Anti-Spam Question: What method on java.lang.System returns an object's original hashcode (i.e. the one that would be returned by java.lang.Object.hashCode() if it wasn't overridden)? (case is significant)
